The personal project is the culminating project of the Middle Years Programme. It helps students to sharpen and improve their ATL skills, link what they learn in class to their real-world experiences and cultivate their own interests in lifelong learning.
At ASI students have explored various aspects of creativity and enquiry through their personal projects. Over the past academic year alone, students created novels, collections of illustrated poetry and short stories and even an in-vehicle alcohol detector.
The goal is to develop skills and connect the personal project with a vision. The projects are challenging enough and the researching makes students travel to places, meet new people and collect data. The journey so far has helped them hone their ATL skills and cater to the learner profile attributes. They have collaborated with peers, discussed ideas with teachers, researched and worked on their Personal Project rigorously.
